Our spouses love us. They know us. They have seen us at our best and
at our worst.
I’ve had potential and current clients tell me they are getting advice
about their business from their spouse – pricing, customer relations,
whether to hire a coach, supporting them at an event etc.
I’m going to be radical here, so bear with me. Your spouse is not
your best choice in a coach. They do not have the skills nor the experience to help you create a successful business. It’s time to fire your spouse and get a real coach!
Don’t get me wrong, they have your best interest in heart and want the
best for you. They also want to protect you. They love you. They don’t want you to fail. For
those reasons, keep them as your spouse and go get a coach!
Are you catching the theme here? LOL I am not writing this because I am a coach. Yes, I am a coach and I will always have a coach. I believe the fastest path to your success is to have a great coach. What makes a great coach? That is another great blog topic…….
A coach will help you see things you can not see. They will guide you to do things that might feel scary. They will also keep you on track and help you create the success you’ve always wanted in your business.
So, the next time your spouse (or any family member) has an opinion
about your business, thank them, and use your coach as your sounding
board, guide and mentor.
Love your spouse and hire a coach.
