Val ~ How do you do all that you do? It’s a question I hear quite often from my clients and my colleagues. My standard answer is normally, I have a great team and it takes a village to keep Val in business. :~) I also talk about my self care routine. Massages on Friday, get my sleep, stay in connection with positive, supportive people.
Most people look at me when like I’m making it up. LOL
While talking with my newest Fearless Entrepreneur client, she shared about wanting to take more time in her life for the things she enjoys doing, like gardening. Last year she was very busy and she didn’t take the time to care for her garden and there wasn’t much, if anything, to harvest. In previous years, when she took great care of the garden, watered, fertilized, and weeded it, she received such an abundance, she gave veggies away to everyone she knew.
Then it hit me. Our businesses are like those gardens! When I take care of myself to my best level, then my business can produce more and more. While it feels counterproductive, it’s so true!
Want to ramp up your business this last quarter and achieve more than ever? Don’t work harder or more hours.
Instead, create your ultimate self care plan and start doing it! Here are my top items – there are more, but these are my non-negotiables.
~ In bed by 11pm or earlier and up at 6:30am. Naps when I need them.
~ At least 2 – 3 weekly connections with positive people – laughter is a bonus.
~ Speaking of laughter – watch something that makes you laugh. We love the Big Bang Theory.
~ Weekly massage – I am adding reflexology some weeks.
~ Gratitudes / Acknowledgements – do them every day.
~ Take supplements / oils that support your health – I see a homeopath and we adjust according to what my mind / body needs.
~ Take plenty of time off and spend it with loved ones.
~ Have a work schedule that you enjoy and supports you. (I do not coach in the evenings or on weekends.)
~ Drink water / Eat good food (This is the one that I am improving).
~ Choose to be happy – it is a choice.
Wow, that list got long. There are more, but this is a good start.
It’s time for you to start taking better care of yourself. It’s time for you to feel better so your business will do better.
So how will you care for you (the garden) better this week? What what miracles (vegetables) will you produce in your business as a result?
Please share below one way you will practice the next level of self care this week.
